I finally found the leak in a Whirlpool fridge after 9 days of coming back to the same kitchen
Had a customer in Boise with a fridge that kept icing up the freezer and flooding the bottom. I replaced the defrost heater, the thermostat, and the drain tube over three visits, and it still leaked. On the fourth trip I pulled the back panel off and found a tiny crack in the drain pan, about 2 inches long, that only dripped when the compressor cycled off. I had walked past that pan 6 times and never flipped it over. Nine days and $140 in parts for a 5 dollar pan. Now I flip every pan before I touch a heater. What is your go to check when a fridge leaks but the drain looks clean?
