Hit my 500th dryer repair today, never thought I'd get here

I fixed a Samsung dryer in Denton this morning and kept a tally like I do every month. That one made 500 total for me since I started in 2021. I remember struggling with my first belt replacement so bad it took me 3 hours. Has anyone else kept a running count and been surprised by their number?

500 dryers is a serious milestone, but the real number that surprised me was my first year's total when I counted broken thermostats vs. actual motor failures. Thought I had a good handle on what people were calling in about, but the data showed almost half my calls were just clogged vents making the machine overheat. That changed how I do every single check now, even if the customer swears they just cleaned the filter. Nobody talks about the lint trap on the outside of the house, that's the one that gets you.
