Finally cracked 200 dishwasher repairs this year, which is wild since I started in March

I was just going through my log and realized I hit 200 dishwasher repairs yesterday. That's way more than I expected since I only picked up appliance work part-time in March after getting laid off from my factory job. Has anyone else been surprised by how fast a niche specialty like dishwashers can add up?

Honestly just roast me but 200 dishwasher repairs sounds like you've seen some truly nasty things no one should ever have to witness. Ngl I bet half of those were just people putting pots and pans in the bottom rack blocking the spray arm. Tbh I'm kind of impressed you've managed to not lose your mind staring at the same greasy filter over and over again. That's a lot of sanitize cycles and half-eaten chicken nugget debris you've had to deal with. I'd say you've earned a parade or at least a lifetime supply of those little rinse aid bottles.

You ever open one up and find a whole MOLDY SPONGE wedged in the filter area? Because I have. More than once. People just shove stuff in there and hope for the best, like the machine is a magic garbage disposal. But yeah, you're right - half the calls are just "user error" where they blocked the wash arm with a cookie sheet and then wonder why their plates come out crunchy.
