Factory vs hand built washing machine control boards, which one holds up better?

Honestly, I've been going back and forth on this after replacing two control boards last month on the same route in Austin. One was a factory board from a Whirlpool that lasted about 6 years, and the other was a rebuilt one from a local guy that only made it 18 months before the relay went bad again. The factory board cost $185, the rebuilt was $95, so you get what you pay for in some ways but the time spent going back to the same job twice annoyed me. Has anyone else had better luck with the hand rebuilt boards from those smaller shops, or is it always a crapshoot?

Feel your pain, man, nothing worse than having to redo a job like that.

Ugh, redoing anything is the absolute worst.
