Appreciation post: Hitting my 500th washer spin balance repair
Ngl, I hit 500 washer spin balance repairs last week, and it kind of surprised me how much it mattered. I keep track because my old mentor told me to log every job for tax stuff, but I never expected to hit that number. Most people say spin balance problems are just a quick fix, but I disagree - they take a real eye for detail. I've seen a dozen machines where the shock absorbers looked fine but were shot after checking the tub movement. Honestly, it made me realize how much time I've spent dialing in those settings for specific brands. Does anyone else tally up a specific job type like this, or am I just being too into the numbers?

500 spin balances in, I still can't fix my own leaky faucet at home.

Have you tried watching a YouTube video on it yet?

Respectfully gotta push back on that. Those spin classes don't really teach you how to fix things around the house. Two totally different skills. One is about endurance and sweat, the other is about figuring out pipes and washers. YouTube is honestly your best friend for this stuff. Watch a few 10 minute videos and you'll know more than enough to handle a leaky faucet. No need to overthink it.
