The dub vs sub debate has a blind spot nobody mentions

I sat through a local anime meetup in Portland last month and watched three people argue about dubs for 40 minutes, but nobody brought up the actual actors doing the voice work. When I mentioned that the English cast for FMA: Brotherhood has like 20 returning VAs across multiple projects, folks just stared at me. How are we supposed to judge a performance when we don't track who's actually in the booth, right?

Oh, I feel you on the tracking thing, but I mean, FMA:B actually had a bunch of new folks too since the original 2003 cast didn't all come back.
