Spent $80 on a Crunchyroll subscription for a year and it actually saved me money
I used to buy every anime on Blu-ray as it came out. Dropped like $50 per season on just one show. Then I tried Crunchyroll for a year at $80 total. I've watched maybe 30 shows since then. Way cheaper than buying discs. My wallet is happier but my shelf looks sad now. Anyone else switch from buying physical to streaming?

Those 30 shows you watched on Crunchyroll, how many of them did you actually finish? I found myself dropping half the series halfway through because they just didn't grab me, but with physical discs I always stuck through to the end since I already paid for them. Did you end up rewatching anything on streaming, or was it all just once and done?

You're so right @jenny_coleman! I dropped at least half of those shows too. The secondhand market is a lifesaver for that kind of thing. It's way easier to just let something sit unfinished on a streaming queue than to feel like you wasted money on a physical copy. I did rewatch a couple of shows though, mostly the ones I really loved like Jujutsu Kaisen and Mob Psycho. But yeah, it's not the same as owning a box set where you feel obligated to give it a full chance.
