Spent 4 hours trying to figure out why my Crunchyroll queue kept resetting, turns out it was my VPN
Ok so last week I finally got caught up on like 6 shows and my queue was perfect, then boom, every time I closed the app and reopened it, everything was gone. I thought Crunchyroll was just being trash again so I did the usual stuff, deleted the app, cleared cache, logged out and back in, even reset my router at like 1am on a work night. Took me 4 hours over 2 days before I randomly turned off my VPN for something else and suddenly my queue came back like nothing ever happened. Turns out the VPN was making Crunchyroll think I was in a different country so it kept wiping my watchlist to match the regional catalog. I felt so dumb but also kinda relieved it wasnt just me losing my mind. If your queue keeps vanishing, check your VPN first before you nuke the app. Anyone else get their whole list nuked by something stupid like this?
That "kept wiping my watchlist to match the regional catalog" part is wild because it means your actual account data was probably fine the whole time, it was just showing you a different version based on IP. Which makes me wonder if your queue was still there the whole time and just invisible to you. Kinda scary that a VPN can quietly change what your account even looks like.
