Realized I'd been watching subbed anime on 2x speed for 3 months

I thought I was just getting through shows faster, you know, being efficient. Then my buddy asked why I kept laughing at jokes that hadn't happened yet and I figured out my player got stuck on that setting after an update. Anyone else have a dumb player glitch that changed how they watched something?

Guessing this wasn't on one of the bigger streaming sites since they usually reset playback speed when you start a new episode." Might have been a browser extension glitch, I've seen those mess up settings across different sites.

Used to think it was always the streaming site's fault for not saving speed settings, but @the_tessa's point about browser extensions actually makes a lot of sense now. Had this weird thing happen the other night where I set YouTube to 1.75x and then a few episodes later it jumped to 2x by itself. Never would have blamed my own extensions for that, just assumed it was some bug on their end. Kinda embarrassing how many times I've gotten annoyed at sites for stuff that was probably my own setup messing things up. Gotta start checking what add-ons are doing before I complain.
