Rant: The guy at the Ferndale library anime club spoiled AoT for a whole table of new watchers
I sat in on the anime club at the Ferndale library two Saturdays ago, mostly to rewatch some Ghibli stuff with people who actually care about it. About 40 minutes in, this one guy who had been quiet all session leaned over to a table of three first timers and casually dropped the biggest reveal from Attack on Titan like it was nothing. One girl just sat there with her mouth open and said, "wait, you can spoil that?" He shrugged and said "it's been out for years, that's on you." The club host had to stop everything and remind people that half the room was there for their first watch. I get that older fans get tired of tiptoeing, but nobody checks the spoiler rules when they walk in the door. How do you all handle spoiler stuff at your local clubs, do you do a quick warning before each show or just trust people to behave?
