Noticed a change in how my local library's anime club talks about shows

The library near me has an anime club that meets weekly. Lately, instead of just reviewing episodes, they dive deep into character development. It's cool to see how everyone brings different views. For example, last time they spent an hour debating a protagonist's motives.

Yeah like how ruby450's club did with Sailor Moon. I feel like people just pick apart everything way more now, not just shows. You see it with sports talk and even reality TV, everyone's got a whole thesis.
