I finally watched Naruto subbed and now I can't go back to dubs

I was at a friend's place last Saturday and he put on the Chunin Exams in Japanese. The raw emotion in the voice acting for Rock Lee vs Gaara hit so different I had to rewatch the whole arc. Dubs vs subs, which side do you land on after hearing both?

I get what you're saying about the Rock Lee fight having raw emotion, but I think people make way too big a deal out of this. It's a show about ninja kids with magic powers and talking animals. Is the voice acting really that life changing? I watched both versions and yeah the Japanese voices are fine but I didn't have some spiritual awakening over it. The dub actors are professionals too, they don't just phone it in. Honestly most people just pick whichever one they heard first and act like the other one is trash.

Honestly, I read somewhere that the Japanese cast has been voicing these characters for over twenty years now, so they basically grew up with them and that’s where a lot of that "raw" feeling comes from. Ngl, the dub guys are solid, but they’re always gonna be playing catch-up on that history.
