Changed my mind about filler episodes after watching the Chimera Ant arc twice

Anyone else find that after a rewatch, the 'boring' episodes become the ones you appreciate most?

Episode 35 of the Chimera Ant arc is where it clicked for me. The slow build makes the payoff hit way harder on a second watch. Filler is just setup in disguise.

Episode 35? That's a good one but you're a little off. The Chimera Ant arc doesn't really start until episode 76. @ben_nguyen that slow build is the whole series in a nutshell though.

It's funny you mention episode 35, because that's right where you have to start paying attention to every little detail or you'll miss how the arc really works. The trick is to treat those slower episodes like a checklist of what's brewing beneath the surface, and once you pick up on that pattern, the big moments land almost twice as hard. If you ever feel like the buildup is dragging, just remind yourself that every scene is dropping a clue about how these characters think and operate.
