How soaking cashews overnight fixed my creamy soup problem

I love creamy soups but don't use dairy. Tried blending cashews, but it was too grainy. Then I read about soaking them overnight with a bit of lemon juice. Now my soups come out smooth and rich every time. Really simple fix that took my soups to the next level.

Honestly my blender was sounding like a rock tumbler before I figured out the overnight soak trick.

Watched my buddy nearly burn out his motor trying to crush ice for margaritas. The thing made a horrible grinding noise that got worse each time he used it. He finally let the pitcher sit with warm soapy water for a few hours and a whole chunk of dried lime pulp came loose.
