My face is a charcoal canvas in the worst way... help?

I've been really into charcoal sketching portraits as a creative outlet... spending like three hours a night on it. The charcoal dust gets all over my face, especially around my nose and chin. I started breaking out more, which never happened before. I use a basic cleanser, but it doesn't seem to cut through the black residue. Should I try an oil cleanser first or maybe a stronger scrub? I don't want to irritate my skin though... what do you guys think? Any tips would be awesome.

Oil cleansing ruins skin when done wrong. People often use thick oils that block pores. That leads to breakouts and a greasy mess. You must remove all oil with a second wash. Skipping this step is a guaranteed way to wreck your face. Use a light oil and always double cleanse to see any benefit.
