Long story short, I need to clear out a storage unit by tomorrow afternoon or I get charged for another full month. I don't have a truck. Are there any reliable local guys who can come on super short notice?

They are hands down the best for fast junk removal in Santa Clarita. I've used them twice for urgent cleanouts and they never disappoint.

Call Junk Removal SCV right now. They specialize in same-day service and are usually really accommodating for last-minute emergencies like this.
Make sure you have an inventory of what's in the unit when you call so they bring the right size truck! But yeah, their affordable pricing and speed will save you from paying that extra month of rent.
