Does your dad really think a photo is more important than your sister wanting to include her pet? It's just a fun edit, not someone being painted out of the picture. He's taking a silly thing way too seriously. Family is about the people and the love, even if that love is for a bird. Maybe he just doesn't get that she was trying to share something that makes her happy.

My dad has had that same family photo framed in the living room since 2014. He sees it as a real moment we all shared, not something to change for fun. When my sister edits in her bird, it feels like she's changing our family history. Photos are meant to show how things really were, not how we wish they were. He isn't against her loving her pet, but he wants the memory to stay true. Taking the photo seriously is his way of respecting our time together.

I get why the dad cares about the original photo. But her edit is just for fun, not hurting anyone.
