Used to think ocean sunfish were pointless, but a chance encounter proved me wrong
I always saw them as lazy floaters, but watching one feed on jellyfish up close was incredible. It's a small win for my marine knowledge, lmao.

I totally get the lazy floater assumption. Seeing them actually do something like feed on jellyfish is a solid perspective shift.

Observed sloths in Costa Rica, and their apparent idleness conceals a constant, slow digestion process. Tourists often mistake their stillness for laziness, but it's a survival tactic to conserve energy. It subtly reframes how we judge activity in the animal kingdom.

What about birds that look lazy but dive for fish?
