Just started my reef tank and can't decide on live rock or artificial decor

Live rock's cool but fake stuff's easier, what do you guys think?

Started with fake rocks in my 55-gallon and it was just decoration. Live rock actually processes waste, so it's worth the extra hassle lol.

You mentioned fake stuff's easier, which is honestly why I picked it for my first tank. I have the patience of a toddler waiting for cookies. My setup looked so fake that friends asked if it was a kid's science project. Live rock at least comes with its own drama, like surprise crabs and weird algae. I switched over after my artificial decor started to feel sad. Now I just accept the extra work as payback for taking the lazy way out.
