Warning: Our digital logbook app just ate my hours

I spent all morning putting my equipment hours into the new app. It crashed and lost everything, so I had to start over from memory. Does this happen often with these systems?

I read about that Google Keep outage last year that lasted almost a full day. It locked everyone out of their notes and lists. That kind of thing really shows how fragile a digital system can be, while a notebook just sits there working.

My buddy at the welding shop had their new inspection app wipe a whole week of reports. The boss was asking for the files and they just vanished, like the app got hungry. He had to dig through old paper tickets to piece it all back together. Felt like a huge waste of a Friday. Makes you want to just keep a notebook as a backup, honestly.
