Update: My boss said my analog mood board is 'quaint'
I spent hours cutting out magazine pieces for a project vibe. He looked at it and said we need 'modern' digital references only. But the textures and colors I found were PERFECT. Now I have to start over with sterile stock photos. It feels like we're losing the human touch in design.

Boss sounds stuck in 2010. Analog textures beat sterile digital any day.

Totally agree, textures you can actually feel make things way more interesting. Digital stuff often looks perfect but has zero soul. My old notebooks with bent corners and ink smudges tell a better story than any clean app screen. It's not about being old school, it's about things having a little life to them.

But doesn't some digital art try to add those messy textures too? Like, it's not all clean screens if the designer puts in the work.
