Everyone says switching roles often is smart, but I've gained more from sticking around.

Older colleagues warned me about staying put, but the depth I've found in one place beats shallow experience elsewhere. It's not for everyone, but ignoring long-term roles is a mistake.

Ever notice how everything pushes constant change now? Like we're supposed to always be switching up routines, apps, even hobbies. But getting really good at one thing, like knowing every bump in your commute, has its own quiet power. That deep knowledge just feels different than skimming the surface of ten different things.

Knowing every bump in your commute really made me stop and think. I used to buy into the whole switch-it-up culture, always chasing the next new thing. But then I actually learned to fix my own bike instead of just watching quick videos. Now I can hear a weird click and know exactly what's loose, which never would've happened from skimming tutorials. That kind of deep know-how just feels more solid than collecting surface-level tricks. Changed my whole view on sticking with something.

Man, that's so true about really knowing something! When you learn the small details, does it change how you pick what to spend time on now? Like do you find yourself going deeper instead of wider with other things too?
