My patio vertical garden is beating my old ground plots hands down

I used to think vertical gardens only looked good. After putting together a simple frame with pockets, I'm totally sold. My veggies are thriving in less space than before. Maybe it's just me, but I think flat gardens use too much area for little gain. This setup lets me water easily and check plants without bending. If you have a small space, try going vertical. It's a game changer for urban gardening.

Come on, it's just gardening - why act like stacking plants makes much sense?

Did you run into any plants that just didn't work vertically? I tried strawberries in my set up and they totally sagged and looked sad. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like some veggies need more root room than those pockets allow. It made me switch to only growing herbs and greens up high, which has been fine. I mean, I still love the idea for saving space, but I had to learn the hard way about picking the right plants. Now I just use the ground for heavy stuff like tomatoes.

Doubt vertical gardens are all that. My friend tried one and her beans never took off, just hung there limp. Saving space is fine, but you're limited to lettuce and basil mostly. Calling it a revolution feels like ignoring how most veggies actually grow.
