My 5G phone feels like a letdown after reading all the glowing reviews
I got a new phone mainly for the 5G feature that every review highlighted. Honestly, I barely see a difference in speed for regular stuff like apps and videos. Are we putting too much weight on 5G in reviews when it doesn't change much for most people?

Always happens with new tech specs getting overhyped. Remember when everyone pushed 4K streaming hard, but most people couldn't tell on their normal TV size? Or smart home gadgets that are just a harder way to turn on a light. The real test is if it actually changes your day, not the number on the box. Honestly feels like we're just trading faster speed for worse battery life most of the time.

Yeah, I see that all the time. My last laptop had a faster chip but died in half the time. Smart lights were supposed to be cool, but now I have to use an app just to turn them on. It feels like we're paying for specs that don't do anything for us. Honestly, I'd trade some speed for a device that lasts all day. So yeah, I get where you're coming from.

Maybe it's more about where you are than the phone itself. The network rollout is so patchy that a 5G icon doesn't mean much if the tower is overloaded. No wonder the reviews feel disconnected from just checking your email.
