I never cared about gadget reviews until I had to build a home office
Before working from home, I just used whatever tech was at the office. Then I needed a good desk setup and didn't know where to start. Reading gadget reviews online showed me what to look for in monitors and chairs. Over time, I learned which reviewers to trust for work gear. Now, I can't imagine setting up without checking reviews first.

Totally, and it goes beyond just finding good stuff. Reviews save you from real bad buys too. I almost got this fancy looking chair that every single deep dive said falls apart in six months. Or webcams where the specs look fine but the real world video is fuzzy junk. You start to notice which reviewers actually test things for normal desk use, not just bench marks.

My friend almost ordered a trendy mechanical keyboard until he saw consistent reports of key chatter. Those user reviews steered him toward a solid budget option that's been great.

My old setup was so bad I almost cried when a review finally explained monitor resolution.
