Honestly, my phone's battery life was a joke for months until I did this one thing

Tbh, I was only getting like 3 hours of screen time on my Pixel 7 and was ready to buy a new phone. A friend told me to check the battery usage by app, and I found a social media app was running in the background constantly. I restricted its background activity, and within a day my battery easily lasts until bedtime now. Has anyone else fixed a gadget just by changing one dumb setting?

My old Galaxy S10 had the same background drain problem. I always blamed the phone's age, but limiting a few apps made it last way longer. It's crazy how much difference one menu can make.
