Rant: The 'wipe on, wipe off' wax method debate is getting old

I see people in videos applying paste wax with a rag and immediately buffing it, but that just smears it. You need to let it haze for 15 minutes first, or you're just moving product around. Anyone else notice this or am I the weird one?

Ever notice how this happens with everything now? People skip the actual steps and just do the part that looks good on camera. It's like we're all just performing the idea of a task instead of doing it right.
