I finally hit 10k in a single month and it felt weird

I've been freelancing for about two years, mostly doing web design. Last month, I landed a big project from a local startup in Austin and a few smaller rush jobs. When I added it all up, my total was $10,327. It was the first time I broke five figures in a month. It mattered because it showed me my pricing was finally right and that I could actually make a real living at this. Has anyone else felt kind of surprised when they hit a big income number?

Ever notice how the big wins feel quiet, not loud? That number just sits there while your brain catches up.

A local startup in Austin" sounds made up, like a movie.

Yeah, that first big month is a trip. Mine felt the same, just a quiet "huh" moment. Finally trusting your own prices is the real win.
