A client in Chicago told me my project updates were too long and confusing

They said they just wanted a short list of what was done and what was next, not a full report. Now I send a three-bullet email every Friday and they reply way faster. What's the simplest way you've changed your work after getting direct feedback?

What about when the feedback is about how you talk, not just what you write? I had a mentor tell me I over-explained my ideas in meetings, which made me sound unsure. Now I practice saying the main point in one clear sentence first. It feels weird but people actually listen and ask better questions.

Had a boss tell me my meeting notes were a novel. Started just writing down decisions and next steps, saved everyone a ton of time.
