Heard about a guy in Toledo who got a bad burn from a trick with wet sand molds. Tried it myself and it actually worked.

Tried that once and still have a small scar on my thumb to prove it. @sullivan.finley is right about the steam pop, it's no joke. My own dumb luck that the metal missed my face.

Saw a video where they used wet sand to make a mold for melting aluminum cans. The steam gets trapped and can pop, sending hot metal flying. That Toledo story sounds like it checks out, lol.
