TIL a bride in Atlanta asked for all white roses or a mix of local wildflowers for her bouquet.
I picked the wildflowers, using black-eyed susans and queen anne's lace from a farm near me. She cried when she saw it, said it felt more personal. Has anyone else had a client ask for a total swap like that?

My friend's client asked for a sunflower swap for her whole wedding party. Honestly, the florist was worried it would look cheap, but the photos were amazing. It just goes to show that personal beats perfect every time.

But man, I've seen that go the other way too. Sunflowers can totally wilt and look sad in photos if it's a hot day, and sometimes that "personal" choice just looks messy instead of charming. A pro florist knows how to make things last and look balanced, which is its own kind of perfection that really matters when you're paying for it.

Actually, the florist was right to be worried. Sunflowers are heavy and their heads droop fast without constant water. The photos probably turned out great because they were taken right after the swap, before any wilting started. That timing is key, not just the personal choice.
