PSA: Herbs from my garden made a client's dinner table pop
I just finished a small job for a local restaurant's special event and tossed some rosemary and sage into the centerpieces. The owner said guests kept complimenting the fresh scent and how it matched the menu. It got me thinking about using more edible plants in my regular work, like lavender for weddings or basil for summer parties. I even started growing a few pots just for clipping into arrangements. Have you all experimented with adding kitchen herbs or edible flowers to your designs? What are your favorite picks to use?

Always thought herbs were just for cooking... never saw the point in using them for decor. But your story about the rosemary and sage made me rethink that. I tried adding mint to a picnic table centerpiece last month, and the fresh smell was a huge hit. Now I'm growing thyme and oregano too, just to tuck into bouquets. It's a game changer for making events feel more homey and connected to the menu.

Scent really ties the whole vibe together, doesn't it.

It's so true how a little greenery can lift the whole room. Ben447's point about mint making a picnic feel cozy really hits home for me. I've tucked lemon balm into napkin rings before, and the gentle scent during dinner was lovely. Growing your own herbs for this purpose sounds like a smart and personal touch.
