Had a total flower fail at a wedding in Asheville last weekend

I was setting up the centerpieces and realized the hydrangeas I ordered from my usual supplier were totally wilted, like they'd been left in a hot truck. I had about 2 hours before the ceremony. I cut the stems again and dunked the whole heads in a bucket of cool water for 15 minutes, and they actually perked up enough to use. Has anyone else had to do a quick rescue on a specific flower like that?

Can't say I've ever dunked a whole flower head in a bucket.

I mean it worked for my hydrangeas last summer.

My friend's mom did that with roses once.
