A trick for keeping hydrangeas from wilting in a delivery van
Honestly, I was losing about 20% of my blue hydrangeas to heat stress every summer in Atlanta. Tried everything, but the real fix was super simple. I started putting a small, damp paper towel around the stem end and wrapping it with a bit of foil before boxing them. Has anyone else found a good way to keep those big blooms happy during transport?

My grandma in Savannah swore by dunking the whole flower head in cool water overnight before a trip. She said it plumped them up like a sponge. I tried it once and it made a real mess in the fridge.

Sounds like half the old school tips people pass down are more about having a story than actually working. You end up cleaning up a mess and the flower still droops by the time you hit the highway.

Hah, so that's what a flower smoothie looks like?
