Shoutout to the guy who told me I was using the wrong end of my knee kicker
I was at a job in Eugene, Oregon last month and this old timer watched me struggle for like five minutes on some vinyl plank. He just tapped my knee kicker and said 'you're using the wrong head, the rubber end is for softer stuff.' I had been beating up my shoulder for two years using the metal end on everything... anyone else have a basic tool moment where they felt like a total rookie?

Two years, huh? I spent a solid three months wondering why my back hurt so bad before some old timer at a supply house pointed out I was holding my pry bar backwards. The flat end is for scraping, the bent end is for pulling nails. Who knew. But hey, at least you didn't try to use a speed square as a level like my apprentice did last Tuesday. We all have our moments.

Are you seriously saying the metal head is better for everything? I've been using the rubber end for years and never had an issue, different strokes for different folks I guess.

Wait, you've been team rubber this whole time? Honestly, I used to think rubber was the way to go too, but then I actually tried the metal head for a month and it totally changed my mind for most jobs.
