My uncle warned me about that cheap laminate from the big box store
He said it would buckle in a year, and sure enough, the whole dining room in the Maple Street job is lifting at the seams after eight months. Anyone found a decent budget brand that actually holds up?

Honestly, I used to think all that stuff about quality was overblown. Tbh, a bad laminate job at my sister's place, just like barbaraw47 said, it really is the same with everything. Seeing those planks warp where her kitchen meets the living room completely changed my mind. You really do get what you pay for with flooring.

Totally feel that, it's like nothing has that special touch anymore. Bought a toaster last week and it broke after three uses, just cheap plastic junk. Feels like you can't even trust the basic stuff to work right now. Makes you miss when things were built to last more than a few months.
