I finally got a handle on this one tricky plank floor seam

Last week I was putting down a floating vinyl plank floor in a kitchen, and one seam just would not lock. I must have lifted and re-set that single plank a dozen times over two hours, checking for debris and making sure the tongue was clean. Turns out the subfloor had a tiny, almost invisible high spot right under that joint (like a grain of sand's worth of proud). A quick pass with a hand scraper on that one spot and it clicked right in. Has anyone else had a floor fight them over something that small?

Ever fight a window that just needed one shim?

My old house had a door that stuck for years. I finally realized the hinge screws were just a quarter turn too tight. Sometimes the fix is so small you overlook it forever.

But @the_morgan's window shim was a real fix, not just a loose screw.
