Vent: My first batch of kimchi in the new apartment bubbled over last night
I was in my kitchen in Charlotte and heard a weird gurgle, then saw brine leaking from under the lid of my big jar. I quickly moved it to a baking sheet and loosened the lid to let some gas out, which saved the mess. Has anyone else had a really active ferment in a warmer apartment?

Yeah, a shallow bowl is a lifesaver, my last batch in the summer heat did the same thing.
