TIL my sourdough starter is older than my car

Honestly, I was cleaning out my fridge and saw the date I wrote on my starter jar. It's from 2015, which means it's been alive for 9 years. My Honda Civic is a 2017 model. Anyone else have a ferment that's outlasted a major purchase?

I used to think my car was my oldest possession... but my kombucha scoby is from my first apartment. That jar has seen more of my life than any vehicle. Makes you value the simple things, you know?

Oh man, that's wild. My oldest thing is probably a houseplant I've managed not to kill for like eight years. It's seen me through three different jobs and a really bad haircut, lmao.
