I used to think my sourdough starter was fine at room temp all week

My friend Sarah in Portland saw it on my counter last month and said, 'That's why your bread is so dense, you're starving it.' She made me put it in the fridge and only feed it twice a week, and my next loaf was way lighter. How often do you all actually feed your starters?

Sarah's right, that fridge trick is a game changer. Mine lives in there now, gets fed maybe twice a week. Total difference in the crumb.
