Spent $250 on a hydraulic post driver attachment and it either saved my back or wasted my money depending on who you ask

I got that Skid Steer auger attachment and it ripped through frozen ground in 10 seconds flat, but my buddy says hand-digging gives you better control on rocky soil and now I'm wondering which of us is right - anyone else go back and forth on power tools vs. manual labor on tough jobs?

Borrowed a neighbor's hydraulic driver for 300 fence posts last spring. Saved my knees but I had to dig out three rocks by hand anyway.

Oh man, three rocks by hand? That's rough (but also kind of impressive you only hit three out of 300). I've definitely had those days where the machine does all the work and then you're stuck cursing at one stubborn rock in the ground. How long did it take you to get those three out, like an hour each? It's always the ones you don't see coming that make you question your whole life plan, right?

I borrowed my buddy's driver for 200 posts and hit four rocks. The worst one took me almost two hours with a digging bar and a lot of bad words. I sat there thinking, this machine saved me 10 hours but now I'm in a hole questioning every choice that led me here. You gotta love how the ground just picks the one spot to fight back.
