Vent: The soggy fries that made me question fast food honesty

I got a large fry from a burger place, and they were limp and cold straight out of the bag. It was a clear failure, and I had a moral debate about going back to complain. (You know, like is it worth the hassle for a few dollars?) My simple hack is to always ask for no salt if you want fresh fries, then add your own. That way, they have to make a new batch for you. I did this last time, and the fries were hot and crisp. It feels a bit sneaky, but it ensures you get what you pay for without arguing.

Ugh, cold fries are the worst. That no-salt trick is honestly genius though.

Oh man, cold fries are a crime. I always ask for them unsalted too, then hit them with my own salt at home. It buys you like a solid ten extra minutes before they turn into sad little sticks. I keep a tiny jar of salt in my car now, just for drive-thru emergencies.

Tried that trick last week @miles_sanchez, it actually works pretty well.
