The time I got a burger that was just... gray
This was at a drive-thru in Springfield last month, around 8 PM. I ordered their basic cheeseburger, and when I unwrapped it, the patty looked like it had been steamed for an hour, no grill marks at all. It was this sad, gray color and had the texture of wet cardboard. I took one bite and just tossed the whole thing. Has anyone else had a burger that looked more boiled than cooked?

Wait, they just handed you a gray burger and expected you to eat it? That's not food, that's a science experiment. I can picture the sad, soggy bun and the cheese that didn't even melt right. How does a place even stay open serving stuff that looks like it gave up on life?

That sounds nasty lol. But a gray patty usually means it was steamed or microwaved, not boiled. They probably kept it in a warming tray way too long.
