The 'fresh' burger lie is the biggest scam in fast food
I ordered a 'fresh, never frozen' burger from a major chain in Toledo last Thursday. The patty was so thin I could see the outline of the wrapper through it, and it was cold in the middle. They charge you a premium for that 'fresh' label, but it's just a way to sell you a worse product for more money. Has anyone else noticed the 'fresh' stuff is always the most disappointing?

Ever try ordering it with no salt? They have to make it fresh then, but you have to add the salt yourself at the table. It's a hassle, but it works. Kim963 is right about the location mix-up, but the real issue is that "fresh" just means they thawed it in the back. That cold middle means it went from the fridge to the grill for about 45 seconds. I ask for extra toast on the bun now, at least that part is warm.
