Rant: I dropped $12 on the new spicy chicken sandwich at Burger Barn thinking it would be different
The picture showed a huge, crispy filet, but mine was this sad, soggy little patty that looked like it sat under a heat lamp for an hour. I took one bite and the 'spicy' sauce just tasted like ketchup with too much black pepper. What's the biggest letdown you've ordered based on the menu photo?

Stopped trusting pictures years ago. Now I just ask the person at the counter if the thing is actually good today. Got burned on a "premium fish filet" that was a cold, greasy hockey puck. The kid working the register was honest and said, yeah, skip it, the fries are fresh though. Saved me eight bucks and a bad meal.

Modern fairy tales" is too accurate lmao. I used to think I was too smart to fall for menu photos, but that was before a $15 "prime rib sandwich" showed up looking like cat food on bread. Now I just assume the pic is a lie and hope for the best, which honestly saves me a lot of disappointment.
