My cross-country drive was ruined by a terrible roadside breakfast sandwich
It was cold, rubbery, and a total letdown.

Man, why do roadside places have such power to wreck a good trip? My buddy Mark drove from Austin to Phoenix last year and still brings up this burger he got at some lonely gas station diner. He said the bun was like stale sponge, the patty was all gray, and the cheese slice hadn't even fully melted. He was so mad he just drove the next four hours in hungry silence. It's crazy how one bad meal can stick with you for miles. What did they even put on your sandwich that made it so bad?

Read a piece once about how these spots get away with bad food because you're stuck there. It said when you're hungry on the road, you'll eat anything, but then it haunts you. Like my cousin got a chicken salad sandwich that was mostly mayo and old celery, and he still complains about it. Honestly, it's like they know you have no other options, so they don't bother. Tbh, I've had similar where the bread was so dry it hurt to swallow. Ngl, those meals just kill the vibe for hours after.

Wait, the cheese wasn't even melted? (how do you even serve that?) That's just lazy, man. I'd be fuming for hours too.

Check the reviews on your phone first, saves the headache.
