My brother-in-law just described the new 'premium' chicken sandwich as 'a sad, lukewarm sponge'

He got one from the drive-thru on Elm Avenue yesterday and said the bun was soggy, the pickles were missing, and the whole thing cost him over eight dollars. It got me thinking about how many 'limited time' menu items are just worse versions of old favorites. What's the most overpriced letdown you've ordered recently?

That description is painfully accurate for so many fast food "upgrades". It makes you wonder if the higher price is just for the fancy name on the menu board. Did your brother-in-law try complaining to the place that made it, or was it just not worth the hassle for a soggy sandwich?

Oh he definitely complained, but what's the point? I once sent back a "gourmet" burger that was just a regular one with a sad piece of lettuce on top, and I'm pretty they just took it to the back, sighed at it, and brought the same one out again. I've learned my lesson, now I just eat my overpriced disappointment in silence like a grown-up.

Nah, I still send stuff back... sometimes you just gotta call them out on the lazy stuff.
