Had to pick between a soggy chicken sandwich or a dry one last Tuesday
I was at a drive-thru in Milwaukee and the lady said they only had two chicken sandwiches left. One had been sitting under the heat lamp for "a while" and the other was fresh but they dropped it on the floor and just wiped it off. I chose the heat lamp one because I figured floor germs are worse. It was so soggy the bun basically melted. The lettuce was wilted and the chicken had this weird rubbery texture. Has anyone else had to make a gross choice like that at a fast food place?

Ain't that just how it is lately, you pick the lesser of two bad options.

Right? "Lesser of two bad options" - I swear I live by that at the grocery store too.

I had to do this at a Burger King in Chicago once, and @violatorres is right, it's basically just how it is now. They told me the only two burgers left were one that had been sitting under the lamp so long the cheese was like plastic wrap, or one that they accidentally squirted ketchup all over the wrapper and then just tried to scrape it off. I went with the ketchup one because at least the patty was probably fresh. It was still a mess, sticky wrapper and all, but I guess you just pick your poison at these places. Main thing I learned is if you get there after 8 PM on a Tuesday, just assume everything is a bad gamble.
