Got a burger at the new drive-thru on Elm Street that was somehow both cold and soggy

I swung by the new burger spot on Elm Street last Friday, and my double cheeseburger was a total mess. The bun was so wet it fell apart in my hands, but the patty itself was ice cold in the middle. I'm talking maybe 45 seconds in the microwave cold. What's the most disappointing menu item you've tried recently that just missed the mark completely?

Okay, "45 seconds in the microwave cold" is a perfect way to put it, that's the worst. I have to say though, a soggy bun AND a cold patty feels like two separate kitchen failures happening at once. That place must have some serious timing issues between the grill and the assembly line. My recent letdown was a "loaded" baked potato that was just a warm spud with a single sad sprinkle of fake bacon bits.

That fake bacon bit tragedy is a whole other level of sad. At least real bacon would have added some flavor, even if it was just a tiny bit.

Honestly, a cold patty is the real crime here... a soggy bun is just bad luck from sitting in a wrapper. But serving a burger that isn't even hot in the middle is just lazy. I get what @gavinw45 is saying about the bacon bits, but at least that's just cheap ingredients. A cold burger means they just don't care enough to check the food before it goes out. That's a basic thing any decent kitchen should get right. I'd be way more mad about the temperature than the texture.
