My brother told me to list my old tools for way more than I thought they were worth
He said to put my old Dewalt drill and impact driver set up for $180 on Facebook Marketplace, which felt crazy high to me. I almost listed them for like 50 bucks, but I did what he said anyway. A guy showed up the same day with cash and didn't even try to talk me down. I guess I was selling myself short. Has anyone else had someone give them pricing advice that totally changed what you got for something?

Was it really that big of a deal? You got a bit more cash for some old tools, cool. People just forget what stuff costs sometimes.

My wife talked me into pricing an old workbench at a hundred bucks instead of free. I figured it was just scrap wood. Had three people ask about it in an hour. Sold it that night.
